EdgeFastLow - Join the Experiment

Why?

To optimise the limited EU868 bandwidth in the UK, we are trialing new Meshtastic settings. The single 250 kHz UK channel is currently used by Meshcore at the top of the band. Our goal is to utilise a 62 kHz sub-channel in the lower portion of the band.

Maximise bandwidth efficiency
Minimise interference with Meshcore
Evaluate sub-channel performance for potential network expansion

When?

The trial starts on 4th October 2025 and runs for 10 days. Participants can start earlier or continue beyond this period if desired.

To join the experiment, configure your nodes as follows:

PSK: Leave Blank
Lora Config
Use Modem Preset: Disabled
Bandwidth: 62 kHz
Spread Factor: 8
Coding Rate: 8
Frequency Offset (MHz): 0
Frequency Slot: 1
Override frequency (MHz) should change to 869.4313
